Amber Alert
When a child is reported as missing, every second counts. Being able to reach the public immediately through the Amber Alert system greatly increases the chance of a missing child being returned safely.
Since the launch of the Clear Channel Digital Outdoor Network, our advertisers have reached millions of potential customers with the same immediacy. As a committed community partner, Clear Channel is now using this innovative, cutting-edge technology to alert the public when a child is reported as missing. This is just one of the ways that we hope to help make a difference in the Boston community.
Clear Channel has dedicated all of its existing digital billboards in the Boston market to the Amber Alert program. Once an Amber Alert is triggered, we have the technological capability to post a message on the digital boards instantly, thus reaching the public immediately.
This prompt timing could be the difference between the safe return of a child and tragedy.
Clear Channel is honored to be a partner of the Amber Alert Review Committee and the Boston Community.
FBI
During the search for fugitives, the FBI benefits greatly from tips contributed from the general public. Therefore, the FBI needs to be able to communicate with them in a way that will reach a high percentage of the population. Since the launch of the Clear Channel Digital Outdoor Network, our advertisers have done just this. As a committed community partner, Clear Channel is now using this innovative, cutting-edge technology to aid the FBI in their search for fugitives by reaching the masses.
The efficiency of our digital boards allow us to get the FBI’s messages up quickly, ensuring that we reach the public as soon as possible after a crime takes place, and its flexibility allows us to change messages and photos as we receive updates. This makes our digital boards useful both for crimes that have just occurred, such as the Somerville Bank Robber, or ongoing crimes that have yet to be solved, such as the Robbery at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum or the recently solved PJ Bandit Case.
Since the partnership with the FBI, Clear Channel’s digital boards have gotten press from some several media outlets such as local newspapers, television, and radio stations, including Bob Ward’s New England Unsolved and WBZ News Radio. The awareness and success that we have achieved together thus far ensures a lengthy partnership between Clear Channel and the FBI.
This is just one of the ways that we hope to help make a difference in the Boston community. Clear Channel is honored to be a partner of the FBI and the Boston Community.
Our digital units display a crisp, clear image with high color resolution making image impurities, such as compression artifacts or color banding, very apparent to the viewer. It is very important any content created for digital outdoor does not incur any image/video compression. The content dimensions must match the board resolution exactly.
