“one of the nation’s most dynamic and vibrant metropolitan areas in the country”

One of the nation’s most dynamic and vibrant metropolitan areas in the country, Houston is the fourth largest and forecasted to be among the fastest growing in the nation. The city’s population is young (median age of 33.7 years), multilingual, multi-cultural and educated (well above the national average).

A major international business center, Houston is home to numerous Fortune 500 companies including Hewlett Packard and Continental Airlines. And, Houston is known throughout the world for its advances in the medical, energy, high tech and aerospace industries.

By land, sea and by air Houston outshines most other communities. The Port of Houston is ranked as the nation’s busiest port. Houston’s airport system, (Bush Intercontinental, William P. Hobby, Ellington Field and CBD Heliport)served more than 37 million passengers in one year. In addition, four major railway carriers as well as 500+ non-local truck lines round out the transportation infrastructure.

Houston, already well known for the Johnson Space Center and the Astrodome, is in the process of a vibrant revitalization. Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros, is the first of several new state-of-the-art sport venues created in the downtown area. The other, the Toyota Center, is the new home of the Houston Rockets. Reliant Stadium, located near downtown, was recently built for Houston’s new NFL team the Texans and the annual Houston Rodeo. These facilities are only a few of the many new “faces” downtown is seeing. Others are multiple private residences, including townhomes and lofts, restaurants and shopping.

Thanks to a healthy economy, year-round pleasant climate, central geographic location, a high quality of life and low cost of living, Houston is expected to have continued growth and economic development.

Clear Channel Outdoor Media is the largest outdoor advertising operator in the area with nearly 4500 faces. It is the only operator of Poster and Junior Poster panels in Houston while operating an extensive Bulletin inventory as well. Major traffic enters Houston through I-10, I-45 and Highway 59.
